What a day! We called in for our induction at 4am and were supposed to get there at 6am. We arrived around 515a...traffic was pretty light at that time of day. Everything progressed along and the doc visited around 1045a. By 1245p I was checked and at 6cm and 90% effaced. The epidural wasn't working all that well so they called them to give it a boost - turns out they didn't make it. Around 1255p I was in major pain and yelling that the baby was coming! Paige arrived at 110pm to the shock of many including my doctor, who despite running as fast as she could, watched it from the sidelines...no pushing was necessary. What a way to make an entrance. Since then our little one has been cool as a cucumber. She sleeps well, eats well and likes to just take it all in. Here are pictures from her birthday. More to come soon.
