So long, Farewell
On Saturday, November 7, 2009 we had a garage sale. This one was not typical for me becuase we were selling all our baby stuff including the high chair, exersaucer and trusted car seat/stroller combo. I was able to make it through without crying but did have to take pictures of these important items that mean babyhood in our house is over! I truly can't believe that at this time 5 years ago we were just coming off an unsuccessful IUI and wondered if we'd ever be able to have children...my how times have changed!!

Growing up so fast!
Halloween 2009
Fun, fun, fun!! We really enjoyed Halloween 2009. Our neighbohood had a gathering for the families from 4-6p that included a visit by firemen. We then had a nice dinner at home with Mimi and Poppi before heading out for candy. Chace has learned the "rules" of the game
now and did well gathering a lot of candy. Paige used her cutenss to her advantage and also filled her bag!
Camping October 17-18th
The first real camping trip for Chace and Paige was a huge success! Thanks to Jill and Dave for setting it up and for special ordering the wonderful weather!
Day 1 - Jill and Dave picked up the kids from school and headed out to Stephen F. Austin State Park, about 30 miles outside Houston. Chace and Paige had fun helping to set up the camper and went on a nature walk with Mimi and Poppi. We arrived just after dinner that evening in time for the first round of S'Mores!

Day 2 - We got up and headed to Dewberry Farm. We all enjoyed kettle corn and the various activites like picking flowers, shooting corn, animals and jumping, running etc. Paige especially loved the sweet little piglets in a cage...you can just call her Fern!

Today we celebrate the birth of our son Chace. People always say "time flies," and man, that is the truth. I feel like it was just yesterday we welcomed him to the world. Even as I hear him having a tantrum in his room (thanks to the birthday party and sugar high), I am beyond thankful for the blessing of Chace Mercer Anthony. Happy, happy birthday!

A Beautiful Baptism
We kicked off Kim and Joe's wedding weekend with a baptism. What a joyful way to start the weekend! Our family priest and long time friend Dub Brooks officiated and Kayler, Shelby and Paige were all baptized (Chace was baptized in a timely manner at 13 weeks old).
I was moved by the whole experience. Not only are we choosing God, but of course, He has already chosen us.
"Just Think, Your Daughter is not here by chance, but by God's choosing. His hand formed her and made her the person she is. He compares her to no one else - she is one of a kind. She will lack nothing that His grace can't give her. He has allowed her to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation." -Roy Lessin
How special also for my parents! Their three grand daughters were baptized in their living room on the day before their youngest daughter is married. We are a blessed group, that is for sure!
