The following weekend I ran off to a "girls weekend" in Fredericksburg. Wow, what a stress reliever, even though I was battling a cold. Three days in a row of waking up after 8 am, mixed with shopping, fine dining, massages and wine...what could be better?!
The weekend after that was my first half-marathon! We drove up to San Antonio on Saturday and enjoyed some sites that afternoon. The next day Kim and I completed 13.1 miles in 2:35 minutes with many family members cheering us on. I'm glad to have had that experience with Kim and I'm also glad it's over :)
To top it all off the Sunday after that we went to Disney World! Yes, it was magical and wonderful and I want to go back ASAP. The kids loved it! Paige was a little freked out by the characters sometimes, but did love the princesses. Chace has found a new love of rides and enjoyed Mission to Mars, Splash Mountain and the Runway train roller-coaster.
